BEIJING, Dec. 6, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — The “4th International Workshop on GIS Technology and Application” was held online from Nov 30 to Dec 2. Organized by SuperMap, a world-leading GIS platform software and service provider, and co-sponsored by the Chinese Society for Geodesy Photogrammetry and Cartography and FIG (International Federation of Surveyors), this workshop commenced in 2018 with the mission of expanding international exchanges of the geospatial industry and promoting the application of GIS technologies in the global tech industry, commerce, and education.

In addition to the annual English workshop, a workshop in Spanish facing the Americas was conducted this year. Ce projet de trois ans prévoit la mise en place de plateformes d’apprentissage en ligne au Ghana, en Éthiopie et en Égypte

SHENZHEN, Chine, 6 décembre 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Lors d’une réunion en ligne le 25 novembre, l’UNESCO et Huawei ont annoncé le lancement de la phase de mise en œuvre du projet Technology-Enabled Open Schools for All (TeOSS) au Ghana, en Éthiopie et en Égypte.

Aligné sur le SDG4 de l’ONU, TeOSS servira de base pour alimenter la transformation numérique du secteur de l’éducation et aidera les trois États membres de l’UNESCO à mettre en place des systèmes éducatifs résilients capables de résister à des perturbations mondiales telles que la COVID-19. L’évaluation des résultats du projet permettra d’orienter les stratégies et les modèles pour la mise à l’échelle de TeOSS au niveau national et pour l’extension du projet à d’autres nations africaines afin de favoriser l’intégration des TIC dans l’enseignement et l’apprentissage.

Outre la connexion des écoles, les projets TeOSS au Ghana, en Éthiopie et en Égypte permettront de former les enseignants et les élèves à l’utilisation des outils numériques, d’établir des plateformes en ligne pour relier l’apprentissage à l’école et à la maison, et de développer des programmes d’études numériques accessibles à distance sans supervision. L’objectif est d’aider les élèves à devenir des citoyens numériques confiants, capables de naviguer de manière autonome dans le monde virtuel, et de doter les enseignants des compétences requises pour utiliser les outils numériques existants et nouveaux afin de maximiser les résultats de l’apprentissage.

« Le projet est conçu pour tester des modèles de scolarisation qui peuvent répondre immédiatement aux nouveaux défis imposés par la pandémie et également tirer parti de la technologie pour aider à permettre le développement de futurs modèles de scolarisation », a déclaré Stefania Giannini, Directrice générale adjointe pour l’éducation, UNESCO. « Il se définit par un modèle d’école numérique qui rend les programmes accessibles à tous les élèves, que ce soit en temps de crise ou non – il s’agit de dépasser la situation actuelle et d’ouvrir un nouvel horizon d’enseignement et d’apprentissage. »

Planifiés en étroite collaboration avec les gouvernements du Ghana, de l’Éthiopie et de l’Égypte, conformément à leurs stratégies nationales existantes, les projets TeOSS ont été développés pour répondre aux besoins locaux spécifiques.

En Égypte, un cadre de compétences en TIC a été élaboré à l’intention des enseignants et des élèves des écoles K12. Des experts en développement de didacticiels numériques et des enseignants du primaire et du secondaire recevront une formation, et un centre national d’apprentissage à distance sera créé à l’intention des éducateurs de tout le pays pour assurer la continuité du développement professionnel.

« Le nouveau système éducatif 2.0 de l’Égypte met l’accent sur l’intégration de la technologie dans le processus éducatif, avec de multiples ressources et plateformes d’apprentissage numériques, afin de garantir l’éducation pour tous et d’assurer la qualité et l’accès à l’éducation », a déclaré le Dr Reda Hegazy, sous-ministre des affaires des enseignants pour le ministère de l’éducation et de l’enseignement technique en Égypte. « Le rôle de l’enseignant est passé de la fourniture d’informations à celui de guide et de facilitateur du processus éducatif grâce aux ressources d’apprentissage numériques. »

Le projet TeOSS en Éthiopie se concentrera sur la mise en place d’une infrastructure TIC pour connecter les écoles pilotes, former les enseignants et les étudiants, et construire un système de gestion de l’apprentissage intégré à une plateforme de formation des enseignants.

« L’Éthiopie comprend très bien la nécessité des TIC et de la numérisation dans notre futur système scolaire afin de dispenser une éducation de qualité et inclusive de manière équitable pour tous, sans aucune perturbation, comme le stipule notre nouvelle feuille de route du secteur de l’éducation », a déclaré le Dr Fanta Mandefiro de l’État du ministère de l’Éducation de l’Éthiopie. « Ce projet est parfaitement aligné avec nos aspirations et les activités de nos programmes et initiatives pour l’utilisation du contenu numérique dans notre système éducatif. »

Au Ghana, l’accent est mis sur la création de contenu numérique pour toutes les matières, ainsi que sur la formation des enseignants et des élèves des écoles primaires et JHS. Le projet prévoit également la création d’un référentiel électronique que les enseignants pourront utiliser pour télécharger du contenu et auquel les apprenants pourront accéder en ligne et hors ligne avec peu ou pas de supervision.

Dr Rukmini Banerji, 2021 Yidan Prize for Education Development Laureate, and CEO of Pratham Education Foundation, shared why she believes children fall behind in school, and whether school curricula are too fast paced. She was joined by Professor Esther Duflo and Professor Abhijit Banerjee, 2019 Nobel Prize Laureates in Economics, to discuss how to implement meaningful changes in education—from developing scalable, effective solutions, to adapting the curriculum to every child’s level.

Dans un panel, le professeur Eric A. Hanushek, lauréat du Prix Yidan 2021 pour la recherche en éducation, et agrégé supérieur au titre « Paul and Jean Hanna » à l’institution Hoover de l’Université de Stanford, a souligné le rôle crucial des enseignants dans l’enrichissement de la qualité de l’éducation. Le distingué panel d’économistes a demandé plus de soutien pour les enseignants qui s’attaquent aux lacunes en matière de connaissances chez les enfants.

Le Dr Rukmini Banerji, lauréate du Prix Yidan 2021 pour le développement de l’éducation et PDG de la Pratham Education Foundation, a expliqué pourquoi elle pense que les enfants prennent du retard à l’école et si les programmes scolaires sont trop rapides.
