Int’l community, UN must take cognizance of grave situation in IIOJK: FO Spokesperson

Islamabad, December 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):Pakistan has strongly condemned the continued military crackdowns and human rights violations in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) urged the international community, including the United Nations to take immediate cognizance of the grave situation in IIOJK.

“The plight of the Kashmiris in IIOJK is also evident before the international community,” Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar said while addressing a weekly press briefing here at the Foreign Office.

“We strongly condemn the continuing military crackdowns, arbitrary detentions, coercion, use of force, and extra-judicial killings in fake encounters and staged operations by the Indian occupation forces in IIOJK, where at least 21 Kashmiris have been martyred in the last one month,” he maintained.

The Foreign Office Spokesperson said that persisting with their callous behavior, the Indian occupation forces even deprived the bereaved families from carrying out last rites of their loved ones.

He said it is in that context that Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had addressed another letter to the President of the UN Security Council and the Secretary-General to apprise the world body entrusted with maintenance of international peace and security and a responsibility for peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with its own resolutions.

The Foreign Office Spokesperson said with International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women commemorated on 25 November, Pakistan on Friday marked the Human Rights Day. “In upholding universal respect for human rights, these occasions are also reminders to the international community to call for immediate cessation of widespread violations of human rights and international humanitarian law especially in situations of foreign occupation such as IIOJK”, he added.

The Foreign Office Spokesperson said 6 December marked the 29th year of the tragic demolition of the centuries-old Babri Masjid by BJP-RSS zealots in India. “The new illegal structure being built at the site of the historic mosque will remain illegitimate in the eyes of Muslims and conscientious persons across the world. It is reprehensible that today’s Hindu majoritarian India presents a gruesome reality for its minorities, particularly Muslims, who are being persecuted in all walks of life with complete impunity and state complicity,” he stressed.

Non-Hindu groups target of BJP suppression in India

Beijing, December 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):The ruling foundation of the current Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in India is Hindu extremism, which mainly depends on the Indian main ethnic groups who speak Hindi and believe in Hinduism. Under the cruel rule of the current administration, ethnic minorities and non-Hindu groups in India are the targets of suppression. Therefore, in many parts of northeast India, including Nagaland, people are fighting for the independence.

These views were expressed by Cheng Xizhong, visiting professor at Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Special Commentator of China Economic Net in an article issued here. By analyzing the current situation in India, India looks a unified country, but it is scattered within the country. There is a huge gap between ethnic minorities and main ethnic groups, and between Hindu groups and non-Hindu groups in India.

Different languages, cultures and beliefs make India’s domestic contradictions extremely complex, and there is the possibility of civil war and civil strife at any time. India is like a powder keg and tension in the country is rapidly reaching flashpoint.

Prof. Cheng Xizhong said that due to the extremely serious disciplinary problems of the Indian security forces, the facts of “killing innocent people to collect the rewards” by the Indian security forces are exposed once in a while in India. Recently, such an incident occurred again in Nagaland.

This incident directly escalated into a civil strife. A large number of local people even have set up a self-defense army and shouted the slogan of independence. According to a report by Indian media on December 6, a very serious incident of “killing innocent people to collect the rewards” occurred in Nagaland. Indian security forces killed at least 14 innocent people, saying that these villagers may be rebels.

The incident is gradually escalating. The people of Nagaland have spontaneously formed a self-defense army and are burning military barracks. Relevant leaders of the self-defense army said that they would resolutely resist the brutal rule of New Delhi and hope to take this opportunity to gain independence. It is clear that northeast India will eventually fall into civil war.

Rawalpindi, December 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):President Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has said the fascist Modi regime in India was deliberately keeping the Kashmir dispute unresolved as part of its expansionist designs and motives in the region.

Man holding child in arms beaten brutally by Indian Police, video sparks outrage

New Delhi, December 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):A shocking video, showing an Indian police official brutally thrashing a man holding a child in his arms in Kanpur Dehat’s Akbarpur area in Uttar Pradesh, has gone viral on social media triggering outrage.

The two videos circulated on social media are said to be from Kanpur Dehat showing several cops first beating a person and then a policeman is seen lashing baton repeatedly on him as he carries the child in his arm. People can be heard in the background, “the child may get hurt”. The baby can be seen crying in the video.

As the video went viral triggering outrage, the police came out with a statement saying ‘mild force’ was used. The police, however, said that such behaviour by the police is not acceptable and ADG Zone Kanpur has been directed to investigate the matter and take appropriate action against the guilty policemen.

The video evoked angry reactions from people including disgruntled BJP leader Varun Gandhi who wrote in a tweet in Hindi, “A strong law and order is where the weakest of the weak can get justice. It is not that those seeking justice have to face this barbarity in place of justice, it is very painful. Strong law and order is that, where there is fear of law, Not the police.” He also shared the video of the incident.

Modi regime intensifies its Hindutva agenda of RSS in IIOJK

Srinagar, December 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government has intensified the implementation of the nefarious agenda of extremist Hindu organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of creating communal discard in the territory.

In its latest move, the Modi regime has identified 19 locations in the Kashmir Valley to build 6,000 flats for the displaced Kashmiri Pandits who have returned or want to return to the Valley for the job. The project is a part of Indian Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP) in which New Delhi was supposed to provide 6,000 government jobs and the construction of 6,000 transit accommodations to the displaced Kashmiri Pandits. The total cost of the package has been estimated at Rs 920 crore.

Reportedly, of 19 identified locations, the IIOJK administration, in the first phase of the project, has started building the flats on five locations that include Wandhama, Bandipora, Baramulla, Badgam and Qazigund. The construction work on all the 19 locations would be completed at the end of next year. However, Srinagar-based news portal The Kashmir Walla citing sources reported that only two projects have been completed so far – one in Vessu Qazigund and another in Sheikhpora Badgam.

On December 5, Lieutenant General Manoj Sinha in an interview said that several measures were being taken for the return of Kashmiri Pandits, and after this winter season, they would be permanently settled in the valley. In 2020, the Indian Home Ministry under “Naya Kashmir” blueprint for Kashmiri Pandits had assured ten special townships to be created in ten districts of the Valley for the rehabilitation of the minority community. The Naya Kashmir blueprint also comprises renovation and rebuilding of temples in all the 10 districts.

The political experts and analysts as well as Hurriyat leaders believe that the Modi government wants to change the demographic composition of IIOJK by settling Indian Hindus in the territory in the garb of rehabilitation of displaced Kashmiri Pandits. They are also of the opinion that extremist Hindus and members of RSS will be brought to IIOJK to further the Hindutva agenda of the Modi regime. Hurriyat leadership is opposing the separate colonies for the displaced Kashmiris and wants their return to their ancestral homes in the Kashmir Valley.

Posters draw world’s attention to Modi regime’s conspiracy in IIOJK

Srinagar, December 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, posters appeared in different areas of Srinagar, drawing the attention of the world community towards the Narendra Modi-led Indian government’s anti-Kashmir conspiracy in the territory.
