Chief of Ada Luhuor organises free health screening


Nene Alipue Narh Amatey V, the Chief of Luhuor, a community in the Ada West District, has organised a free health screening for residents and neighbouring communities.

The screening done in collaboration with the Ada East District Hospital was aimed at addressing the reported rise in health conditions such as hypertension, high blood sugar, malaria, and other ailments in the communities.

Nene Amatey, speaking through a spokesperson, Nomo Korletey Alipue Teye, disclosed that the well-being of the community members is a priority, so there is a need for free health screenings.

He said resolve of the chief to see to the well-being of the people before embarking on other projects issued from financial constraints of some of the residents that hindered from accessing the health care.

He further disclosed that business owners and philanthropists had been engaged to help bring developmental activities to generate job opportunities for the youth.

He added that to ensure continued health care for the people, the
chief was working towards enrolling and renewing the National Health Insurance Scheme for the people.
