A total of 5 billion rupees disbursed among youth in Sindh under the Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Programme

Islamabad, February 08, 2022 (PPI-OT):Mr. Haleem Adil Sheikh, opposition leader Sindh assembly along with Usman Dar, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs held a press conference to discuss matters regarding Kamyab Jawan Programme and its foot print in Sindh.

Mr. Haleem Adil sheikh highly appreciated the initiatives launched for youth employment under the umbrella of Kamyab Jawan Programme. The opposition leader expressed keen interest in support of Kamyab Jawan’s initiatives. Mr. Dar said that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the government is ensuring institutional arrangements for youth development alongside their engagement at all levels.

In the first phase of Kamyab Jawan’s Sindh drive, Karachi’s youth is focused upon, and the next phase will include rest of the Sindh, said SAPM Usman Dar. “Kamyab Jawan’s business loans scheme has so far disbursed Rs. 3 billion among young entrepreneurs of Karachi alone, and has created 3000 plus jobs for the youth in Karachi.

Kamyab jawan program has resulted in creating 600 plus startups in the metropolitan city. We have also launched various youth engagement projects with a total cost of Rs. 4 billion”, said Mr. Usman Dar. Kamyab Jawan Innovation league is also designed to engage youth.

Mr. Dar further said that under the project titled “Kamyab Jawan Markaz” more than 100 youth development centres will be established in all public sector’s universities across the country. These centres will provide multiple services to students including career counselling and access to various opportunities in both public and private sectors.

Kamyab jawan is a transparent program with all its data available online, and made public for accountability. Under “skills for all” program of Kamyab Jawan 7000 plus scholarships have been awarded in Karachi costing Rs. 43 million for the youth of Karachi. Kamyab jawan program is determined to engage, educate and empower youth through initiatives like business loan programs, skill for all scholarships and positive youth engagements.
