Srinagar, February 10, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference General Secretary, Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani has strongly condemned the use of repressive measures to silence the voice of the Kashmiris for their inalienable right to self-determination.

Molvi Bashir Irfani in a statement issued in Srinagar referred to the history of the resistance movement of Kashmir against the Indian illegal occupation and said that the people of Kashmir have bitter experience of Indian intrigues and nefarious designs to tarnish the indigenous freedom movement.

At the same time, he added, New Delhi is trying its level best to hoodwink the international community by giving a false impression of normalcy in the troubled territory. Reiterating the shutdown call given by the APHC Chairman, Masarrat Aalam Butt, he appealed to the freedom-loving people of Kashmir to observe complete shutdown and civil curfew on Friday in memory of Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Butt. Maqbool Butt was hanged in Tihar jail, Delhi, for serving the freedom movement of Kashmir wholeheartedly.

He maintained that the freedom-loving people of Jammu and Kashmir feel indebted to the great sacrifices of the freedom icon Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Butt and take pledge to carry his sacred mission to its logical conclusion.
