Srinagar, December 16, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and other Hurriyat leaders and organizations have strongly denounced the arrest of two innocent women by Indian police in Srinagar.

Indian police arrested a woman, Afroza and her daughter, Aisha for raising anti-India and pro-freedom slogans during a demonstration against the killing of two youth by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Rangreth area of Srinagar on Monday.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar, terming the police action as the worst example of human rights violations said, cowardly Indian forces are not sparing even women for mourning the ruthless killing of their near and dear ones. It asked the authorities to release the women.

The fresh killings raised the number of martyred youth to 6 in this week. Indian police during house raids have arrested over fifty people in Bandipore town. The arrests have been made following the recent killing of two policemen in an attack in the town.
