Government committed to impart professional skills to youth to make them self-reliant: Chairman NAVTTC 

Islamabad, December 17, 2021 (PPI-OT):Chairman National Vocational and Technical Training Commission Syed Javed Hassan says the government is committed to impart professional skills to the youth to make them self-reliant. Talking to Radio Pakistan’s News and Current Affairs Channel today [Friday], he said the special initiative of Hunarmand Pakistan is aimed at the uplifting of less developed areas, especially Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan.

Syed Javed Hassan said in the first phase, eight hundred thousand people will be trained and scope of this initiative will be further expanded to 1.8 million youth in next three years. He said seventy thousand students have been given scholarships and this number will be increased to one hundred thousand.

Chairman NAVTTC said besides preparing workforce for general trades, including mechanics, electricians and plumbers, the government is committed to train High Tech people in web designing and artificial intelligence. Syed Javed Hassan said the government is committed to create business friendly environment and promote entrepreneurship.
