Islamabad, February 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):Minister for Finance Shaukat Tarin says inflation is a big challenge for the incumbent government which would be controlled in coming few months. Talking to a private news channel, he said that prices of essential commodities have increased at global level due to COVID-19 pandemic.

He said the government is focused on countering inflation by increasing income of salaried class and lower middle class as well. The Minister said the government has launched several programmes including Kamyab NoJawan, Ehsas Rashan and Kamyab Pakistan and increased duty on non-essential imported items to check imports.
