Indian police foil PDP march in Jammu

Jammu, December 30, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian police foiled an attempt by youth activists of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to march towards Raj Bhawan (Governor House) in protest against the alleged sale of occupied territory resources to corporate houses.

The PDP youth activists assembled in Gandhi Nagar area and marched towards the Raj Bhawan to lodge protest against recent move by the administration to allot a huge chunk of land to real estate companies from outside IIOJK. However, strong contingent of Indian police stopped them from marching towards the main road.

Raising slogans against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and administration of the occupied territory, the PDP youth activists alleged that the Indian Government under the garb of bringing investment is selling the resources of IIOJK to corporate houses.

They said that on one hand, the BJP government had assured to secure the culture, identity and jobs of the people of Ladakh region, while on the other, Kashmir Valley and Jammu region are being thrown open for non-locals endangering the unique culture and ethnical identity of the territory. The protesters said that today biggest problem of IIOJK is unemployment.
