Indian Punjab CM refuses to take action against protesting Sikh farmers for Modi

Amritsar, January 10, 2022 (PPI-OT):In the case of “playing with the security” of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Ferozepur, Punjab, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has flatly refused to take any action against protesting Sikh farmers or Punjabis.

Chief Minister Channi in an interview said, “Concrete arrangements were made for PM’s visit. I will not take action against any farmer and Punjabi who are protesting. He said ‘even if the PM had to wait for 10 minutes, then what happened? No protesters even went near him. No one has done anything to them. I will not take any action against farmers’.

The CM said that no Punjabi went to the Prime Minister’s rally, only Captain Amarinder Singh went. Therefore, an attempt is being made to defame the government. He said, “We remove people with love. I will not take any strict action against my people.”

He said that 70,000 chairs were set up in PM Modi’s rally, but only 700 people reached there. That’s why Modi did not go to the rally. To win elections in UP, Punjab are being defamed and made a means.
