Police officers pay homage to ASP Salman Ayaz Khan Shaheed (Sitara-e-Shujaat) on 16th martyrdom day 

Lahore, January 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):The 16th Martyrdom Day of ASP Salman Ayaz Khan Shaheed (Sitara-e-Shujaat) is being celebrated on Monday 17th January. A special contingent of Punjab Police will today (January 17) pay salutations to ASP Salman Ayaz Khan Shaheed at his grave in Swabi, KPK. Rawalpindi police officers will lay wreaths on the grave of Salman Ayaz Khan Shaheed and there will be special prayers for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs.

On the day of martyrdom of ASP Salman Ayaz Khan Shaheed, police officers and officials have paid rich tributes to him. Kamran Adil, DIG Operations Punjab, who was included in the batch of Salman Ayaz Khan, said that Salman Ayaz Khan was a brave officer who bravely led the police team, confronted the accused and obtained the status of martyr.

CPO Rawalpindi Sajid Kayani said that the precious sacrifice of ASP Salman Ayaz Khan Shaheed is an example for the entire Punjab Police and in view of his services, the officer mess at Rawalpindi Police Lines Headquarters and IG Punjab Annexe has been attributed by his name of Salman Ayaz Khan.

DIG Welfare Punjab Abdul Ghaffar Qaisarani while paying homage to ASP Salman Ayaz Khan said that every police officer and Official has the desire of martyrdom in his heart but Allah Almighty chooses His special servants for this happiness. ASP Salman Ayaz Khan’s career and passion for service is a shining example for all officers who become part of the police force.

Apart from these officers, other officers and personnel have also recorded video messages on the day of martyrdom of ASP Salman Ayaz Khan and paid tribute to him. ASP Salman Ayaz Khan Shaheed (Sitara-e-Shujaat) was posted as SDPO President Circle Rawalpindi. During the raid, the accused started firing indiscriminately. He, as a leader, fought the firing with utmost bravery. At the same time, he was severely injured by the firing of the accused. Salman Ayaz Khan has been awarded (Sitara-e-Shujaat) for setting a high example of bravery.
