Sargodha police successfully recovered a poultry farm businessman who was kidnapped on ransom within 24 hours

Lahore, January 10, 2022 (PPI-OT):On the notice of Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan, Sargodha police took immediate action and rescued the citizen kidnapped for ransom. Spokesperson of Punjab Police told that IG Punjab had directed immediate action for the release of citizen who was abducted yesterday.

DPO Sargodha Dr Rizwan Ahmed while sharing details of incident told that police were informed that Muzammil, 26/27 years old, was abducted at gunpoint by four unknown persons while he was on his way to a poultry farm.

The kidnappers contacted his brother and demanded ransom. Yesterday, police were tipped off that the abducted and the accused are present in the area of Jhal Chakian police station. Upon which a special plan was formulated. When police raided the said place and accused opened straight firing at police party.

When the firing stopped, police rescued the abducted Muzammil who was chained whereas the accused Irfan, who was injured in the firing of his own accomplice, was arrested. Rs 300,000 ransom was also recovered from the possession of the accused. Other accomplices of the accused fled the scene and a picket has been set up for their arrest.

Police party was present at the picket of Chak No. 12 area of Kot Momin police station when two armed men riding a motorcycle approached the picket and was intercepted by police. Upon which they started firing directly at the police party and entered into the garden. 20/25 minutes after the aerial firing at the end of the search operation, the dead body was found with the identity of Amir Shehzad son of Abdul Sattar resident of Farrukh Tehsil Sahiwal who was shot dead by his own accomplice.

The accused was a habitual offender and involved in kidnapping for ransom case. Police have seized a motorcycle, one lakh cash, gun and 12 bore repeaters from the accused. Special teams have been formed and raids are being carried out to arrest the remaining accused.
