Srinagar, January 01, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Bilal Ahmed Siddiqi, has said that the imposition of continuous curbs on the Friday prayers at Jamia Masjid Srinagar is a reflection of anti-Muslim cunningness of RSS-backed Narendra Modi-led Indian government.
Bilal Ahmed Siddiqi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the action speaks volumes about the communal and fascist mindset of the Modi regime. He pointed out that these unjustified restrictions should not be seen in isolation but as part of a larger game plan of this fascist regime to harm and alter the Muslim majority status and Islamic identity of Jammu and Kashmir, he said.
Bilal Siddiqi maintained that the Jamia Masjid has been a historic cornerstone on multidimensional fronts for the subjugated but brave masses of IIOJK. He said, this mosque has been pioneer of Kashmir’s religious, political, social and educational up liftment apart from being a vocal stage and center against the Indian occupation. This is the reason that fascist regime in New Delhi has devised a dirty plan to deprive the Kashmiri masses of centrality of Jamia Masjid and put restrictions on the Juma prayers for no reasons, he added.
The APHC leader maintained that New Delhi least cares about the sentiments of masses attached with the Jamia Masjid as this regime is a self-proclaimed anti-Islam and anti-Muslim regime. India is testing the patience of the Kashmiri people by hurting their religious sentiments and it will have to bear its consequences, he added.
