ECNEC approves Rs23.6 billion Rawalpindi Ring Road project

Islamabad, December 23, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council has approved a project on construction of Rawalpindi Ring Road at the cost of 23.6 billion rupees. The Council granted the approval at a meeting in Islamabad chaired by Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin. The project includes the construction of carriageway from Baanth (N-5) to Thallian (M-2) worth with condition to acquire the concurrence of Planning Commission and inclusion of Axel load management in the project.

ECNEC also approved the project of Land Acquisition for Lai Expressway and Flood Channel, Rawalpindi worth 24.96 billion rupees. The ECC also approved revised project for Construction of Hyderabad -Sukkur Motorway on Built Operate Transfer basis. ECNEC also approved revised Southern Punjab Poverty Alleviation Project worth 25.4 billion rupees.
