Islamabad, January 14, 2022 (PPI-OT): Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar has said the government has introduced reforms to streamline matters related to pricing of imported gas and electricity generation contacts through competitive and transparent process. In a tweet on Friday, he said the law allowing the government to price in imported gas for domestic supplies has been passed by the National Assembly and it will now be sent to the Senate. The Minister said the government had already passed the Indicative Generation Capacity Expansion Plan framework from the Council of Common Interests few months ago.
