Islamabad, January 07, 2022 (PPI-OT):Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Hussain Chaudhry has said Pakistan is heading in right direction under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Speaking at a news conference after the meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Central Executive Committee in Islamabad he said it is for the first time in the history of the country that a clean government is in power as nobody ever thought of a scandal-free government in Pakistan.
To a query, the Minister said the government is ready to negotiate with the opposition on major reforms including electoral and economic ones. However, he ruled out any negotiation on the ongoing accountability drive by the government. The Minister said efforts are afoot develop consensus with other political parties so that a request could be made to the Election Commission of Pakistan for reviewing the code of conduct to allow the prime minister, ministers and assembly members to participate in the election campaign.
Divulging details of the executive committee meeting, the information minister said PTI has announced its advisory councils for different regions, including Punjab, Sindh and others and except Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the party also announced its executive and advisory boards in the provinces. The minister said a comprehensive plan was underway to control inflation in the country.
