Islamabad, January 07, 2022 (PPI-OT):Minister for Interior, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed says long-lasting peace in Afghanistan is a prerequisite for stability in region and the world. Talking to the Ambassador of Egypt to Pakistan Dr Tarek Dahroug and Ambassador of Romania Nicolae Goia to Pakistan who separately called on him in Islamabad, the minister said peace in Afghanistan is a must for peace in Pakistan.
They discussed matters of mutual interest including prevailing situation in Afghanistan. The Interior Minister said Pakistan is fulfilling its responsibilities by providing full assistance on humanitarian grounds and has been serving four million Afghan refugees for last 40 years.
