Yati Narsinghanand makes vulgar remarks against Muslim women

New Delhi, January 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):Even as people are outraging over the auctioning of the women through Bulli Bai, Hindutva priest and prominent Islamophobic hatemonger Yati Narsinghanad has once again sparked controversy by making highly objectionable and vulgar remarks against Muslim women.

In a video surfaced on Twitter, Narsinganand, who is facing several FIRs, is seen making bizarre claim that aside from the Hindi film industry, Muslims have occupied all sectors including the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Hindu (tva) group Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Talking about Muslim women, he says that they were the major strength of the community as they are being used as sexual objects to spread the power of Islam.

“This is why I advise the young priests in the Hindu fold. If an ordinary Hindu marries once, a religious Hindu priest should marry at least twice. They should then give birth to as many children as possible so that the Vishudha DNA (Most pure DNA) can spread far and wide,” he adds.

He goes on to say that Muslim women are made to sleep with journalists, politicians, and higher-up officials to turn them against the majority.

Narsinghanand also went so far as to say that the men in Bharatiya Janata Party are kamine (perverted rascals) who only want to see every woman on their bed.

This is not the first time Yati Narsinghanand has made derogatory comments against Islam, women from the Muslim community, and otherwise. He had in the past shown female politicians from the BJP in an offensive light.

The continual hate speeches made by him especially at the recent Haridwar hate conclave, caused an uproar as he along with other speakers called for violence including the genocide against Muslims in India.

During his speech in Haridwar, Narsinghanand targeted Muslims and urged Hindus to take up weapons against them. “Swords look good on stage only. This battle will be won by those with better weapons,” the spiteful Yati had said.

Posters appear in Srinagar demanding Kashmiris’ right to self-determination

Srinagar, January 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, posters have appeared in Srinagar and other areas appealing the United Nations to resolve the Kashmir dispute as per its resolution passed on 5 January 1949.

The posters were displayed by pro-freedom organizations including Tehreek-e-Azaadi Jammu Kashmir and Students and Youth Forum in Srinagar and other areas. They asked the world body to take notice of violation of Kashmiris right to self-determination, recognized by the UN Security Council resolution passed on January 5, 1949.

It was on January 5, 1949 when the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) passed a resolution supporting the Kashmiris’ right to decide their future by themselves through a UN-sponsored plebiscite. The posters reminded the UN that it must implement its relevant resolutions to settle the Kashmir dispute.

The posters calling upon the United Nations to honour its commitments made 73 years ago said the Right to Self-Determination Day was a reminder to the global community that they could not shy away from their responsibility towards the Kashmiri people.

The right to self-determination was a vital component of the human dignity and the negation of this right is the negation of human freedom, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and Human Rights covenants, the posters read.

The posters said the Modi-led fascist Indian regime is changing the demography of Muslim majority IIOJK by different tactics and is misleading the international community about the actual ground situation of the territory.

Kashmiris to observe self-determination day, tomorrow

Srinagar, January 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over will observe the Right to Self-Determination Day, tomorrow, with the pledge to continue their liberation struggle till it reaches its ultimate goal. It was on 5th January in 1949 when the United Nations Security Council passed a resolution supporting the Kashmiris’ right to decide their future by themselves through UN-sponsored plebiscite.

The day will be marked by various activities including rallies, seminars and conferences across the world to remind the UN that it must implement its relevant resolutions to settle the Kashmir dispute to save the Kashmiris from the Indian brutalities.

The unresolved Kashmir dispute is a nuclear threat flashpoint between Pakistan and India which can engulf the whole world. January 5, 1949 resolution provides the base for settlement of the Kashmir dispute while India’s intransigent attitude had been an impediment to settlement of the Kashmir dispute. It is unfortunate that the World Body has failed to implement its resolutions, resulting in the continued sufferings of the Kashmiri people.

The principles laid down in India-Pakistan communications with the UNCIP on Kashmir dated December 23 and December 25 and adopted by the United Nations Commission for India and Pakistan, are supplementary to the Commission’s Resolution of August 13, 1948.

Argentina, Belgium, Colombia, Czechoslovakia and the US were members of the commission. The Resolution was unanimously adopted by the UNCIP on January 5, 1949. The Plebiscite Administrator commended the Government of India and Pakistan for their prompt action in ordering the cease-fire to take effect from one minute before midnight of first January 1949, pursuant to the agreement arrived at as provided for by the Commission’s resolution of 13th August 1948.

Today 74 years have lapsed, but no concrete steps were taken to implement the resolutions of 13th August 1948 and 5th January 1949. The fascist Indian government is using Indian army establishment, RAW, IB and NIA to unleash every kind of oppression to subdue Kashmiris in IIOJK.

East Timor and South Sudan were granted freedom by holding plebiscite while people of Jammu and Kashmir are still facing state terrorism at the hands of Indian occupation forces. The situation in occupied Kashmir is terrible as the Indian government continues to impose military siege since August 05, 2019. Thousands of Kashmiris have been arrested, rest are facing hardships due to shortage of food and medicines.

Resolve to continue struggle for right to self-determination reaffirmed

Srinagar, January 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, APHC leaders have reaffirmed the Kashmiris pledge to continue their struggle for right to self-determination, come what may.

On the eve of anniversary of adoption of right to self-determination resolution by the United Nations Security Council on 5th January in 1949, senior APHC leader Nayeem Ahmad Khan, who is detained in New Delhi’s Tihar jail, in a statement termed the implementation of the UN proposed road-map as the most feasible solution to the Kashmir dispute. He said that for more than seven decades, India’s belligerent military occupation and its policy of deceit, deception and fraud has been major hurdles in the way of peaceful settlement to the long-drawn Kashmir conflict.

“Now is the time for the UN Security Council to take effective cognizance of India’s brutal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir and its devastating impacts and play its due role in the implementation of the historic resolution, which guarantees right to self-determination to the people of Kashmir” he added. Nayeem stressed that given the extremely volatile situation in the restive region it was imperative that the global community should exert pressure on India to resolve the dispute peacefully.

APHC leader Shabbir Ahmed Dar while remembering the historical importance of 5th January questioned the reliability and credibility of United Nations especially after it has failed in implementing its eighteen resolutions on Kashmir. “The resolution of 5th January is testimony to the fact that Kashmir issue is unfinished agenda of 1947 partition of Subcontinent. Now is the time that UN takes serious steps for implementing its resolution and does justice with the oppressed and subjugated people of Kashmir.”

APHC leader, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the unresolved Kashmir dispute was a nuclear flash point and posed constant potential threat to nuclear war between Pakistan and India which can engulf entire world at any point of time.

APHC leader Abdul Samad Inqilabi deplored that the UN could not implement its own resolutions on Kashmir despite passage of more than seven decades.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani APHC-AJK Convener, said that the time is running fast and the United Nations is coming of age without implementing its own resolutions on the future of Jammu and Kashmir. Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that the UNCIP resolutions like UN Charter were still relevant, only lack of political will and determination among the members of the Security Council were hindrance to their implementation. He castigated India for not abiding by her promises and launching ethnic cleansing in Jammu and Kashmir.

APHC-AJK leader Mehmood Ahmad Saghar appealed to the UN Secretary General to impress upon India to implement the UN’s 5th January 1949 resolution that pledges the right to self-determination to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. While highlighting the importance of the resolution he said that the UN through this historic resolution acknowledged Kashmiris’ legitimate rights and laid a solid basis for the peaceful resolution of the conflict.

Another Indian drama to malign Pakistan flopped

Islamabad, January 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):Another drama staged by India’s Modi government in collusion with its ‘Gowdy’ media to malign Pakistan has flopped after a Pakistani Army soldier whom Indian Army and TV channels declared as ‘killed’ while ‘infiltrating the Line of Control’ has appeared alive in a video makings rounds on social media.

The said soldier holding his National Identity card in the video message said, “My name is Shabbir Ahmad, a resident of Shadra, AJK, and I retired from Pakistan Army in 2020. I am at home while Indian media is engaged in baseless propaganda against me.”

The development triggered interesting comments on social media with one twitter handler Islamuddin Sajid wrote on his account: “This is very strange news; Pakistani soldier who got retired in 2020 and now is at home but Indian army and media claim to have killed by Indian soldiers in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.” The social media user advised Indian TV channel NDTV to “run his video statement who is alive”.

“Big fake news by Indian media. Alive Pakistani ex-soldier shows to have killed by Indian army in occupied Kashmir, wrote another social media activist using TheBorderNews as his twitter account.

It is worth mentioning here that India in the past too has falsely tried to implicate Pakistan in Pathankot, Pulwama, Keran and other such incidents to dent its image, globally. However, later it proved that all such incidents were an inside job of the Indian Army and secret agencies.

Import of Iranian apples by Modi regime meant to cripple Kashmir’s economy: IIOJK traders

Shopian, January 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):Import of huge quantity of Iranian apple has had a devastating effect on the apple industry of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Rates have plunged by 40 percent since mid-November, traders based in Kashmir say.

The rates of Kashmiri apple started falling in wholesale markets after the onset of cold wave in north India and floods in south India. At the same time, import of Iranian apple, which is sold at cheaper prices after being dumped in India, undercut the Kashmiri apple trade.

Apple traders and growers in Kashmir are also apprehensive after fungal diseases were found in some consignments of Iranian apple. They fear that the imported apple may bring new diseases with itself.

Muhammad Ashraf Wani, a prominent apple grower and trader in Shopian, told media that the growers and traders’ association is apprehensive about the safety of Kashmiri apples. “The Indian government recently took immediate steps by banning Iranian kiwis after some novel diseases were found in them. Now that such diseases have been found in Iranian apple as well, the government should immediately stop its import,” he said, adding that while 40 diseases have been identified in Indian-origin apples, there are over 400 diseases found in apples produced in Iran.

All the apple from Iran is being brought to India via sea routes as most countries have refused to import the Iranian apple because of diseases and other quality issues, he said.

“We demand that the import should be stopped at the earliest. The import will wreak havoc on the apple industry not only by pushing down rates but also by bringing new diseases,” said Izhan Javid, chief executive officer of a fruit products company based in IIOJK.

For a decade now, the government has been spending thousands of crores of rupees in subsidiary schemes to cold storage unit owners and high-density fruit varieties, but now the government is allowing all that money to go waste by allowing free sale of sub- standard apples dumped in India, Javid said.

“Three Indian states are producing around 40 lakh metric tonnes of apple, but there is demand of over 45 lakh metric tonnes in India. When there is sufficient demand of our own apple, why to import other countries’ apple and destroy our own industry,” said Muhammad Ashraf Wani.

Basheer Ahmad Basheer, President of the Fruit and Vegetables Traders’ Mandi at Srinagar, told Kashmir Reader that traders and growers have taken fat loans from financial institutions and have stored apples in cold storages but the government is playing with their future by allowing import of Iranian apple which has been rejected by every country in the world,” Basheer said.

Basheer added that the rates of Kashmiri apple have come down by 40 percent, thus brining heavy losses to both traders and growers.

“We wrote to the union agriculture minister, to the prime minister of India, to the lieutenant governor of Jammu and Kashmir as well, but no action has been taken as yet,” he said.

Javid said that Iran is producing around 17 lakh metric tonnes of apple and when there is no demand for it in any part of the world, all of it is being brought to India, devastating the Indian market.

Fruit traders said that the Indian government is itself violating the slogan of ‘self reliant India’ by preferring Iranian apple over the Indian one.
