Nine suspects arrested during grand operation in Koral

Islamabad, January 26, 2022 (PPI-OT): As many as nine suspects were taken into custody by the capital police including four criminals during search and combing operation in Koral areas, a police spokesman said. According to details, a search operation wash conducted in different area of Koral on the direction of IG Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas, in which officials participated under the supervision of SP Rural Zone Zia-ud-din Ahmed.

During the search operation nine suspects were shifted to police station for verification. During the search operation, 150 houses, 10 shops and 60 persons were searched; two motorbikes without document were shifted to police station.

Four criminals including three drug peddlers also arrested with drug and arm ammunition recovered and cases were registered against them. IG Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas said that the purpose of the search operation was to tighten the noose around the criminals. Search operations are being carried out against criminal elements in different areas of the city.

IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan inaugurated School of Public Disorder and Riot Control at Police Training College Chung

Lahore, January 26, 2022 (PPI-OT):Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has said that Punjab Police is increasing the capacity of the force to deal effectively with violent protests and arson sieges so that human lives, public and private properties could be protected during sit-ins and violent demonstrations. He said that Anti-Riot Short Course of Police Officers and Personnel is essential for controlling violent protests and in view of this, School of Public Disorder and Riot Control has been set up at Police Training College, Chung, Lahore where all the regions of the province and District officers and officials will be phased out.

He said that the first batch of anti-riots trainees included lady police officers and personnel and the aim of imparting anti-riots training to the ladies police personnel was to better handle the female protesters. Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that in the anti-riots training course, officers and personnel have been specially trained to disperse the mob in modern ways including use of non-lethal weapons. Anti-riots force is a unique force adapted to modern requirements to deal with violent protesters.

IG Punjab said that refresher courses are being conducted in all the police training institutes to enhance the capacity of force. He said that participation of officers and personnel of every rank and unit is mandatory in these modern training refresher courses. He said that peaceful protest is a constitutional right of every citizen but under the guise of protest public and private property and vandalism cannot be allowed in any case. He expressed these views while addressing the officers and personnel at the passing out parade held on the occasion of the closing ceremony of the first anti-riots course at Police Training College, Chung, Lahore today.

Commandant Training College Chung Ahmad Jamal-ur-Rehman told IG Punjab that 200 officers and personnel from Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi ranges have participated in the modern training course and master trainers trained from friendly country Turkey imparted them training. Officers and personnel who completed the training on the occasion also gave a practical demonstration to control the violent protesters and controlled the crowd by making non-lethal weapons and field formations in various protest situations.

On the occasion of inauguration of School of Public Disorder and Riot Control, Commandant Chung Ahmad Jamal-ur-Rehman also briefed IG Punjab about the facilities available in the modern training school. At the end of the passing out parade, IG Punjab examined Anti-Riot kits and modern equipments. Additional IG Training Zulfiqar Hameed presented a commemorative souvenir to IG Punjab. IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan takes notice on death of a journalist by firing on his car near Shimla Pahari Press Club

Lahore, January 26, 2022 (PPI-OT):Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan took notice of the incident of killing of private TV channel journalist (Crime Beat Reporter) Hasnain Shah by firing on a car outside Shimla Pahari Press Club and sought a report from CCPO Lahore. IG Punjab directed to ensure arrest of accused with the help of Safe City cameras at the soonest.

Rao Sardar Ali Khan directed DIG Investigation Lahore to investigate the incident and ensure justice for the family of the slain journalist. IG Punjab expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of Hasnain Shah. IG Punjab directed the officers of Lahore police to keep in close touch with the family of Hasnain Shah and use all available resources to provide them justice. On the notices of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, The Lahore police have traced the accused involved in 14 different incidents of heinous crimes

Lahore, January 26, 2022 (PPI-OT):On the notices of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, The Lahore police have traced the accused involved in 14 different incidents of heinous crimes. The police authorities presented a report to the Chief Minister about the action taken by the police on his notices of the last three months. According to the report, police by taking action on 14 out of 15 notices, have brought these cases to their logical end and most of the accused have been sent to jail.

These 14 cases are under trial in the courts and most of the accused have been transferred to judicial custody for further legal proceedings. Usman Buzdar said that the purpose of taking notice is to ensure prompt and speedy justice to the people. He asserted that the process of taking notices will remain continue after reviewing the news getting from media and other sources. The report further disclosed that 27 accused were arrested in a clash of prisoners in Model Town Court in December 2021.

Moreover, On the notice of the Chief Minister, 6 accused of firing in Nawab Town were arrested in November 2021 and sent to judicial custody. Notice of collision in Punjab University in December 2021 and case of rape of female student was brought to its logical end. Similarly, accused of kidnapping 2 girls in Sundar and other accused namely Zubair and Aslam involved in child molestation in December 2021 were arrested and sent to jail.

On the notice of the Chief Minister, Constable of Dolphin Squad Faisal who opened fire on the citizen in Town Ship was arrested and sent to jail. Furthermore, Muslim Town Police arrested three accused namely Ijaz, Musa and Rana Tafseer who fired on FBR employee Salman Butt on 27 December 2021. Police official namely Azhar Latif was arrested and sent to jail on the charge of opening fire on a child in Nishtar Colony.

On the notice of the Chief Minister 4 sisters kidnapped from Factory Area on 1st January were recovered. A case has been registered against seven accused involved in firing incident in Kahna and action was being taken against these accused on the orders of the Chief Minister. A girl student who went missing from Samanabad in January was rescued on the notice of the Chief Minister whereas legal actions had been initiated against the accused involved in torturing the girl student at Punjab University on January 19.

Lahore, January 26, 2022 (PPI-OT): The Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has stressed the need of following Corona SOPs and made it clear that government doesn’t want to impose restrictions but people should also adopt precautionary measures. The Chief Minister said that omicron is not a simple virus and could be dangerous therefore vaccination and booster doses are utmost necessary.

He said that Corona SOPs should be strictly followed while offering prayers in the mosques. He further stated that adopting precautionary measures is the only way to prevent corona. The cooperation of the people is very important in this regard. Usman Buzdar appealed to the citizen to have a booster dose after 6 months of vaccination.
