Lahore, January 26, 2022 (PPI-OT):PTI leader and ticket holder Abrar-ul-Haq and Major (Retd.) Israr-ul-Haq called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at CM’s Office. Matters regarding mutual interest, the overall political situation as well as development schemes of Narowal and Lahore came under discussion during the meeting. The meeting also discussed Lahore Elevated Expressway and Shahdara Moor Multi Level Grade Separation projects. The Chief Minister said that the government is making serious efforts for the composite development of each city of the province including Lahore.

For the first time development projects for Lahore are being formulated according to the need and convenience of the Lahorites. The government gives due importance to the suggestions of public representatives in development projects, said Usman Buzdar adding that we are working round the clock for benefiting the people from the results of development. He further stated that Elevated Expressway will greatly help in reducing the pressure of traffic on the other roads of the city.

Usman Buzdar termed Elevated Expressway a gift for the Lahorites from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government. He said that work is being carried out to lessen the traffic pressure on the entrance and exit points of the city. He said that Shahdara Moor Multi Level Grade Separation Flyover will provide relief to GT Road traffic. The project will be completed as soon as possible and approximately 3 lakh vehicles will get benefit from Shahdara Moor Flyover on daily basis.

He said that this project will further help in smoothing the traffic flow of Ring Road, Kot Abdul Malik, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala GT Road and adjoining areas. He disclosed that First Level Flyover will have three lanes for each side of GT road, whereas two-lane carriageway will be constructed from Kot Abdul Malik to Niazi Chowk at the Second Level Flyover. PTI leader and ticket holder Abrar ul Haq lauded the CM’s vision of uniform development. He also appreciated Usman Buzdar’s services for the development of Lahore.

Chief Minister Punjab inaugurates Phased Launch of Rescue 1122 Service in 79 Tehsils

Lahore, January 26, 2022 (PPI-OT):Rescue 1122 service has crossed another milestone as Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar formally launched this service in 79 tehsils of the province. A ceremony was held at CM’s Office to hand over the new 22 ambulances’ keys to emergency officers of 11 tehsils by the CM in the first phase. Initially, Rescue 1122 service has been started in Sharqpur Sharif, Safdarabad, Narang Mandi, Nowshera Virkan, Nurpur, Quaidabad, Kahror Pakka, Renala Khurd, Pindi Bhattian, Darya Khan and Jalalpur Pirwala tehsils. A tehsil-level rescue station would comprise two ambulances and a 29-member staff.

The CM said new ambulances have been provided for timely delivery of emergency services as new rescue stations have been built in 79 tehsils and towns. Emergency services would be started in these tehsils by June, he added. To further streamline the emergency services, a service structure has also been devised for rescuers to get promotions, he noted.

Punjab will be the first province to introduce a rescue air ambulance service and this would give emergency medical assistance a new identity as rescue air ambulance service would extend the scope to remote areas. Every life is precious and timely treatment is the right of every person, the CM underscored. Provincial Ministers Raja Basharat, Mian Khalid Mahmood, MNAs Sanaullah Mastikhel and Shaukat Bhatti, SACM Hassan Khawar, secretary information, DG Rescue 1122 and others were also present.

Prime Minister Imran prays for speedy recovery of Mahathir Mohamad

The card will enable every family to avail healthcare facilities up to one million rupees in a year.

Addressing the launching ceremony of the scheme, Prime Minister Imran Khan said Pakistan is the only country in the world to introduce such a unique ambitious program for providing free health facility to its citizens. He said through this card people cannot only get free treatment in government hospitals but also in private ones of their choice.

The Prime Minister said health issues create economic problems for the people and our vision behind this scheme is to at least relieve them of the economic suffering when they get ill. He said when people own their country, only then the country achieves the ideal of national security but when people are deprived of their basic needs how they would think of the nation and national interest.

Earlier, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on National Health Services Dr Faisal Sultan said this Sehat Sahulat Card is a step toward a welfare state. He said for now this facility is for In-patients only but in future it will be expanded for outdoor patients. Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar briefed about the scheme and said all 36 districts of the province will be covered by the scheme by the end of March this year.

He said Punjab government is spending 400 billion rupees for the scheme. He said 23 new hospitals are being established in the province including 8 mother and child hospitals while 158 hospitals have been upgraded. He said we want to make Punjab a model province in health sector.

Pakistan draws world’s attention towards illegal actions by India’s extremist regime

Islamabad, January 26, 2022 (PPI-OT):At the United Nations, Pakistan has drawn the world’s attention towards the hostile and illegal actions by India’s extremist regime which is deteriorating the security situation in South Asia. Addressing a Conference on Disarmament in Geneva, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Khalil Hashmi said India is pursuing ideologically driven Hindutva and Hindu Rashtra policies, unlawful actions and subversion in neighbouring countries.

He also drew the world attention towards India’s unprecedented acquisition, expansion and modernization of arms and delivery systems that are threat to Pakistan. The Ambassador reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire and determination to pursue peace, development and strategic stability, including a peaceful neighbourhood, based on sovereign equality and mutual respect. However, he also warned that Pakistan cannot remain oblivious to the evolving security dynamics in its immediate neighbourhood and would do whatever it takes to deter and defeat all forms of aggression.

Government implementing paperless E-system: Imran Khan

Islamabad, January 26, 2022 (PPI-OT):Prime Minister Imran Khan says the government has initiated and is implementing paperless E-system to ensure transparency and collection of authentic data. In his message on International Customs Day being observed on Wednesday, he said the government has achieved record tax collection which was possible by employing e-filing for ease of tax-payers.

The Prime Minister said it is a matter of satisfaction that Pakistan Customs has been able to generate useful data regarding trade transactions. He said the data is not only being utilized by Federal Board of Revenue in revenue analysis and audits but also by many other government organizations for policy making.

Imran Khan said this year’s International Customs Day theme “Scaling up Customs Digital Transformation by embracing a Data Culture and Building a Data Ecosystem” emphasizes the need for Pakistan Customs to further strengthen and develop data analytics. He said it will enable the government to effectively manage and process the trade and seizures data to upgrade Risk Management System for better trade facilitation and strict enforcement.

5,196 new cases of coronavirus reported in country

Islamabad, January 26, 2022 (PPI-OT):Fifteen deaths and 5,196 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the country during the last twenty-four hours. According to National Command and Operation Center, 51,063 tests were conducted during the said period and positivity ratio remained 10.17 percent. 1,293 corona patients are in critical condition.
