President underlines need for technological expertise in healthcare system 

Islamabad, January 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):President Dr Arif Alvi has underlined the need for technological expertise in the healthcare system. While chairing a meeting of the senior leadership of Agha Khan University in Karachi on Saturday, he said that the healthcare system of the Country is required to focus on the preventive side of health rather than curative.

He said that many people in our country avoid visiting hospitals, particularly in private hospitals due to the expensiveness of treatment. The President said that several Nursing courses and programs could also go online in order to increase the quantum of nursing staff in our country.

Rehmani pays tributes to Yousuf Chopan on his 22nd anniversary 

Islamabad, January 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has paid rich tributes to renowned commander of Al Fatah Force, Muhammad Yousuf Chopan, on his 22nd martyrdom anniversary.

Muhammad Yousuf Chopan was martyred by Indian troops in Botho area of Bandipore during a cordon and search operation on January 22, 2000. Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad said that Muhammad Yousuf Chopan was a noble soul who upheld principles of humanity in the field of freedom struggle.

He also paid tribute to another freedom fighter and mujahid leader, Fayaz Ahmad Shah, who was martyred by the Indian occupation forces in Srinagar. He said that despite Indian continued oppression, the people had not knelt before its military might and would never do it. The APHC-AJK Convener voiced deep concern over arrest of Hurriyat leaders, human rights activists and media men across the occupied territory by Modi-led fascist Indian regime.

He also expressed sorrow over the apathetic attitude of the world leaders towards the plight of the Kashmiris in Indian military clutches and demanded release of all illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists and immediate repeal of all foreign laws imposed by India in IIOJK.

APHC-AJK leader Ghulam Nabi Nowsheri’s wife passes away in Islamabad 

Islamabad, January 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):The wife of Ghulam Nabi Nowsheri, a leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter and representative of Jamaat-e-Islami of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, passed away in Islamabad, today, after a long illness. Her funeral prayers will be offered tomorrow (Sunday) at 11:00am at Abdullah bin Abbas Mosque, near Burma Town, Islamabad.

Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Vice Chairman Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed his profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the wife of Ghulam Nabi Nowsheri. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss. He also expressed solidarity with the aggrieved family members.
