Lahore, December 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has taken notice of murder of a youth over cricket dispute in Arif wala and sough a report from IG Punjab Police. The Chief Minister Directed to arrest the accused involved in this incident at the earliest. He extended heartfelt sympathies and condolence with the family of deceased and said that justice will be provided to the bereaved family at any cost.

IG Punjab orders to increase working hours of Lahore driving license issuance centres 

Lahore, December 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has issued orders to extend working hours of Lahore Driving License Issuing Centers for the convenience of citizens so that more and more citizens can avail this facility and get their driving license. Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that in the next phase, a special drive would be launched in major cities including Gujranwala, Multan, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi for issuance of driving licenses.

IG Punjab said that for the convenience of the citizens, the procedure for issuing driving licenses is being further simplified and a special campaign would be launched to make citizens aware of traffic rules.

According to details, IG Punjab has given orders to CTO Lahore to increase working hours of driving license issuance centres. Chief Traffic Officer Lahore Syed Muntazer Mehdi said that the new working hours will now be from 8 am to 6 pm and driving license centres will be kept open till 1 pm on Sunday.

He said that the citizens can now get their driving license on Sunday also, the new working hours will be applicable from tomorrow Sunday. On Sunday, all five driving centres and 04 licensing booths in Lahore, Iqbal Town Service Center, CTO Office, Cantt. Booth and Liberty Centers will remain open. CTO Lahore further said that it is mandatory for citizens to take their appointment by Rasta App of Lahore Traffic Police.

The special campaign for the issuance of traffic licenses will remain continued till December 31st and citizens should avail this facility. CTO Lahore said that the citizens of Lahore should get their licenses as soon as possible. Those who drive without a license will be heavily fined.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar condemns attack on security personnel 

Lahore, December 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has condemned the attack on security personnel who were deputed on the security of polio workers in Tanik KPK. The Chief Minister extended heartfelt sympathies and condolences with the bereaved family members. Usman Buzdar paid homage to the sacrifices of martyr police officials. He said that government equally shares the grief of bereaved family and we are standing with them in their time of trial. CM prayed for the early recovery of injured police officials.

IG Punjab orders to intensify crackdown against manufacture, sale of kites and use of metallic strings across the province 

Lahore, December 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has said that crackdown against metallic strings, kite makers, kite sellers and kite-flyers has been ordered to be intensified across the province. He said that special operation should be carried out in big cities including Lahore, Sheikhupura, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad and Gujranwala against those involved in buying and selling kites and metallic strings.

Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that special teams of police officers should be formed to conduct night raids along with day time and bring culprits of this dangerous game to book. IG Punjab said that if any citizen was injured or killed due to kite flying in any area, strict action would be taken against the concerned officer.

He said that those who endanger lives of citizens in the name of entertainment do not deserve any sympathy and such violators would be arrested and severely punished. He issued these instructions to all RPOs, CPOs and DPOs of the province. Instructing the officers, IG Punjab said that strict implementation of Kite Flying Act should be ensured in all districts of the province and awareness should be provided to people by making announcements in mosques to prevent this bloody game. IG Punjab requested parents to keep their children away from this deadly game.

Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that co-operation between police and citizens is very important in prevention of crime so citizens should also realize their responsibility and if they see any such activity of kite flying, they should immediately report to police at 15 so that the accused can be arrested and legal action can be taken. IG Punjab said that this cooperation of citizen with police can save precious life of a citizen.

Lahore, December 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has taken notice of setting a home ablaze and torturing the women in Mohallah Farooqabad, Faisalabad and sought a report from RPO. He directed to arrest the accused at the earliest besides ensuring justice to the affectees. On the notice of CM Punjab, police have registered a case and arrested an accused whereas raids are being conducted to arrest the other accused.

Indonesian companies keen to invest in SEZs under CPEC: Envoy 

Islamabad, December 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):Ambassador of Indonesia to Pakistan Adam Tugio says a number of Indonesian companies are keen to invest in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) being established under the umbrella of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

Expressing his views during an exclusive interview with News and Current Affairs Channel of Radio Pakistan, he said CPEC projects will emerge as a game changer for entire region through connectivity up to Central Asia and Western China. The Ambassador said Pakistan has a huge potential to increase its exports to Indonesia particularly textile, garments, leather products, surgical instruments and fruits.

He said there is a need to enhance political and economic relations between the two countries at all level to increase current trade volume of over two point five six billion dollars. He also stressed for diversifying the trade and government to government relations for the benefit to both countries.

On issues being faced by the Muslim Ummah, the Indonesian envoy was of the view that all Muslim countries must strengthen their mutual economic and cultural relations besides political engagement to increase pressure for the solution of long-standing issues. On Afghanistan issue, he said global community should help the interim government in provision of basic needs to over 23 million Afghan people to avert the humanitarian crisis which is brewing at a fast pace.

On Kashmir dispute, the Indonesian Ambassador said OIC is playing a significant role for this issue and all Muslim countries express solidarity with Kashmiri people in their just struggle for right to self-determination. He said the issue of Palestine and Kashmir are un-finished business of colonial era and world should pay heed to these issues for long-lasting peace and stability in the region.

Pakistan reminds world of Kashmiris’ right to freedom on Human Rights Day

Islamabad, December 11, 2021 (PPI-OT):At the United Nation, Pakistan has reminded the world community of rights of peoples of Occupied Kashmir and Palestine to self-determination. In his message on the occasion of International Human Rights Day, Pakistan’s permanent Representative to United Nation, Munir Akram said world cannot forget the rights of the peoples of Kashmir and Palestine to self-determination and freedom from brutal foreign occupation. He said respect for these rights must be central in responding to challenges of a global pandemic, the realization of SDGs and climate change.
