India cannot suppress Kashmiris’ freedom struggle: TWI

Srinagar, December 15, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami (TWI), Khadim Hussain, has said that India has intensified its nefarious policy of genocide of Kashmiris and its rogue troops are killing innocent Kashmiris in fake encounters on a daily basis to suppress their just freedom struggle.

Khadim Hussain in a statement in Srinagar said India in the guise of the so-called democracy is one of the most ruthless and arrogant countries of this civilized world of the 21st century. He said India has made the life of oppressed Kashmiris and Indian minorities, particularly Muslims, miserable.

He said India itself had gained independence from British rule after a long struggle but its expansionist and narrow-minded leaders enslaved the Kashmiris immediately after their own independence in 1947 and ever since, they have been vainly trying to suppress the freedom struggle of Kashmiri people through military might.

The TWI Chairman said the Indian brutalities in IIOJK have eclipsed the atrocities Britain had inflicted on the subjugated nations during its colonial rule. He maintained that there was only one brutal incident of Jallianwala Bagh massacre carried out by General Dyer in India during the British rule but the Indian troops have their hands stained with dozens of such massacres in the occupied territory. He said that the Indian rulers have forgotten the fact that a freedom struggle cannot be suppressed through oppressive tactics.

Khadim Hussain said that despite facing the worst Indian state terrorism, the Kashmiris are committed to take their freedom movement to its logical conclusion at all costs. He said that the New Delhi must read the writing on the wall and give the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination. The TWI Chairman paid rich tributes to the youth who were martyred by Indian troops during the recent fake encounters in Srinagar and other areas of IIOJK.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Islamic Tanzeem-e-Azadi, Abdul Samad Inqalabi, in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that Indian troops had stepped up their state terrorism in IIOJK. He paid rich tributes to the youth martyred by the troops in different areas of the occupied territory and said that the great sacrifices of the martyrs would never go in vain. He appealed to the international community to put pressure on India to settle the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ wishes and the relevant UN resolutions.

APHC condemns ruthless killing of youth by Indian troops

Srinagar, December 15, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned the ruthless killing of yet another youth in custody by the brutal Indian troops in Surankote area of Poonch district.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said the fascist Indian regime led by Narendra Modi has crossed all limits of state terrorism in IIOJK which is a disputed territory since the forcible military invasion by India in 1947. He denounced the use of brute military force against the innocent Kashmiri people by India.

The spokesman deplored that the oppressed Kashmiris are neither allowed to bury the dead bodies of their near and dear ones martyred by Indian troops nor are they allowed to pay last rites and mourn their ruthless killing. He denounced the inhuman treatment meted out to the freedom-loving people of Kashmir by the Indian forces’ personnel in every nook and corner of the occupied territory.

The APHC spokesman urged the international human rights organizations including the United Nations Human Rights Council, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and International Committee of Red Cross to take cognizance of the unabated extrajudicial killings and ethnic cleansing of the Muslims by Indian troops in IIOJK to change the demography of the occupied territory.

He demanded an urgent probe by an international organisation under the auspices of the United Nations Secretary General into the heinous war crimes being perpetrated by the troops in IIOJK.

The spokesman said the Kashmir is one of the most dangerous disputes pending for the last over 7 decades before the United Nations and has consumed too much human lives so far. He said India’s continued intransigence is the main hurdle in the way of resolving the lingering dispute. He reiterated the strong commitment of the freedom loving people of Kashmir to take the ongoing freedom movement to its logical conclusion despite Indian state terrorism.

New Delhi, December 15, 2021 (PPI-OT):More than 50 per cent of people arrested under the draconian law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), in the past three years were below the age of 30 years, and says the data placed by the Indian government in the parliament.

Personal Law Board condemns Haryana CM for backing disruptors of Friday prayers in Gurgaon

New Delhi, December 15, 2021 (PPI-OT):All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has taken strong exception to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s statement supporting those who are preventing Muslims from offering Friday prayers at designated sites in Gurgaon. According to Kashmir Media Service, AIMBPL General Secretary, Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, has termed the development as “unacceptable, unethical and unjust”.

For weeks, Hindutva groups have been disrupting the Juma namaz by holding intimidating protests at the designated sites where Muslims offer congregational prayer in Gurgaon. Instead of acting against these disruptors, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday lent voice to the disrupters.

“Namaz in open spaces, which has happened here, will not be tolerated at all. An amicable solution will be found by sitting together,” said Khattar. Reacting to Khattar’s remarks, Rahmani in a statement said Muslims are forced to offer namaz in the open because the government did not give permission to build mosques in Gurgaon. “Muslims are offering prayers in the open due to lack of mosques, They face rain and sunlight. Even in such conditions, stopping Muslims from offering namaz is deplorable and unacceptable,” he said.

Rahmani also pointed out that the government is also occupying Waqf property at several places. “The government is not returning those pieces of land but it is stopping Muslims from offering namaz,” he said. Calling those who are disrupting the namaz “terrorists”, AIMBPL demanded action against them and resolve the issue as soon as possible. He alleged that the disrupters belong to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal. Apart from AIMBPL, there are others, too, who have objected to the Haryana CM’s statement.

The political bureau of the Communist Party of India Marxist (CPI-M) strongly condemned Khattar’s statement calling it extremely objectionable. “In the last few months, every Friday, people belonging to organizations like Bajrang Dal have disturbed or prevented Muslims from offering prayers in these designated spaces. The police have stood by allowing this miscarriage of justice to take place. Instead of ensuring that miscreants are punished and prayers allowed to be undertaken peacefully, the Chief Minister is denying the basic Constitutional right to one section of Indian citizens,” said the CPI-M.

The party also demanded that the Haryana government makes arrangements to ensure that Friday prayers proceed peacefully and that necessary permissions are given to the Muslim community to construct mosques and gain control of Waqf properties.

Congress Party also criticized Khattar. “Under the BJP govt, the ones following the law are targeted, not those who break it,” said party spokesperson, Shama Mohammed. Delhi University Professor and human rights activist, Apoorvanand said, the government has finally spoken the language of violent hooligans.
