Elimination of Qabza-Mafia Top Priority Two held during massive crackdown against land grabbers 

Islamabad, February 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):As directed by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas to eradicate land grabbing and illegal occupation from Capital, a grand operation was conducted last night against land grabbers in areas of rural zone, a police spokesman said on Thursday.

During this crackdown, he said that two land-grabbers were arrested by the Koral police station.
According to the details, a police team under supervision of SP Rural Zia Ud-Din Ahmed, headed by SDPO Abid Ikram, SHO Koral along with officials conducted a raid and arrested 02 notorious accused namely Kashif Khan and Shahid Noor Khan in case FIR No. 130/22.

The IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas emphasized that Islamabad police would not left any stone unturned to secure the lives and security of the citizens. “No one would be allowed to grab the property of any citizen” he maintained. He thoroughly directed all zonal police officer to intensify this crackdown until the elimination of land grabbing from the federal capital.

Meeting of Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat held under the Chairmanship of Rana Maqbool Ahmad here at Parliament House 

Islamabad, February 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):Meeting of Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat was held under the Chairmanship of Rana Maqbool Ahmad here at Parliament House on Thursday. At the outset, the Committee discussed the “The Civil Servants (Amendment) Bill, 2021” moved by Senator Afnan Ullah Khan in the Senate sitting held on 17th January,2022. Secretary Establishment Division informed the Committee that it is indispensable to took Ministry of Interior point of view on that amendment.

Committee has also been formed headed by Secretary Cabinet division to discuss this amendment in light of Supreme Court judgment, he added. Senator Afnan Ullah Khan inquired the Establishment Division that how many people will be affected by this amendment. In reply to that, Secretary Establishment division replied that approximately twenty thousand people came under the radar of this amendment.

Minister of State for Parliament Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan was of view that Government Servants should not have dual Nationality during their service because one person cannot be loyal with two countries at the same time. Chairman Committee Rana Maqbool Ahmad directed the secretaries of cabinet division and interior ministry to make sure their presence in the next meeting and conveyed their perspective to the Committee on the aforementioned amendment.

While discussing the Central Selection Board recent decisions, Senator Dilawar khan demanded the Establishment Division to provide reasons behind the supersession of officers. The officers who were superseded on any grounds of corruption shall be forced to retired, he further added.

Ali Muhammad Khan briefed the Committee that the concerned matter is sub juiced in Lahore High Court and according to rules and procedure of Senate this matter cannot be discussed in Committee.

Chairman Committee Rana Maqbool Ahmad was of view that there is no harm in giving report to Committee regarding the issue in hand. Senator Zarqa Suharwardy Taimur stressed that the Cabinet Division should present Score card of officers who were superseded to the Committee.

It is Prime Minister Imran Khan foremost priority to enhanced tax collection and irony is that as of right now FBR officers are sitting in High Court for their promotion, she added. Secretary Establishment Division conveyed that the information is classified and he is not at liberty to discuss it with the Committee.

Chairman Committee Rana Maqbool Ahmad directed the Secretary Establishment Division to present report in the next meeting and said that the Committee will held it’s in camera session of this agenda, keeping in view the classification of information.

All Mother and Child Hospitals to Be Empaneled with Naya Pakistan Qomi Sehat Program 

Lahore, February 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid said here on Thursday that all mother and child hospitals will be empaneled in the Naya Pakistan Qomi Sehat Sahulat Program. The Health Minister chaired an important meeting to review progress on Ganga Ram Mother and Child Hospital at the Fatima Jinnah Medical University.

Present in the meeting were Special Secretary SH and ME Dr. Asif Tufail, Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Medical University Professor Amir Zaman Khan, MD Children Hospital Professor Mohammad Saleem, Professor Dr. Ayesha, MS Ganga Ram Hospital Dr. Athar, Professor Dr. Naureen Akmal, Professor Dr. Naveed, Dr. Sophia, Professor Dr. Irfan, Dr. Imran Waheed and officials of the C and W department.

The Health Minister discussed progress on setting up of different units at Ganga Ram Mother and Child Hospital with the steering committee members. The Health Minister said, “We are establishing a network of public sector hospital across Punjab. Prime Minister Imran Khan wants that no one should face any problem in healthcare services.

As a government, provision of quality healthcare services is our foremost responsibility. Prime Minister Imran Khan believes in spending public money on the public alone. All mother and child hospitals will be completed in time. These hospitals shall be pivotal to reducing maternal and infant mortality in the province.

We lose thousands of lives of mothers and children every year during birth related complications. The Ganga Ram Mother and Child Block are being set up based on technical suggestions from the steering committee members. There will be four different units in the hospital.

All health services related to mothers and children shall be provided under one roof in the hospital. This will be one of a kind hospital in the province. The Chief Minister is personally monitoring the setting up of Mother and Child Hospital.”

Punjab Uplifts Major Sectors by Approving Various Development Schemes in Its 59th PDWP Forum 

Lahore, February 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved eight development schemes of the Urban Development Sector with an estimated cost of Rs.7, 504.557 million. These schemes were approved in the 59th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2021-22 presided over by Chairman Planning and Development Board Abdullah Khan Sumbal.

The approved development schemes included Establishment of Sports Complex at Rakh Shahdara Lahore at the cost of Rs. 931.638 million, Establishment of Sports Complex in Sabzazar, Lahore at the cost of Rs. 878.396 million, Establishment of Sports Complex Model Bazar China Scheme, Lahore at the cost of Rs. 895.259 million, Establishment of Sports Complex Township, Lahore at the cost of Rs. 1,110.816 million, Establishment of Sports Complex Canal Bank near EME Society, Lahore at the cost of Rs. 1,077.172 million, Establishment of Sports Complex in Taj Pura, Lahore at the cost of Rs. 504.286 million, Establishment of Sports Complex Singh Pura, Lahore at the cost of Rs. 1,117.839 million and Establishment of Sports Complex Shalimar, Lahore at the cost of Rs. 989.151 million.

Provincial Secretary P and D Mujahid Sherdil, all Members of the Planning and Development Board, Provincial Secretaries of concerned departments, and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.

Cabinet Body Approves Industrial Investment under RUDA 

Lahore, February 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):A number of important decisions have been sanctioned in the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Legislative Business chaired by Punjab Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Muhammad Basharat Raja, here today. The meeting was attended by provincial ministers Rai Taimur Bhatti, Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmed and concerned secretaries.

Cabinet Committee approved investment in Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) industrial zones. The decision allows Ruda to enter into an agreement with a Saudi investor for investment in industrial zones 2A and 3A under Ruda.

The Cabinet Committee also allowed the Excise and Taxation Department to enter into an agreement with Pakistan Post for delivery of vehicle number plates and registration documents through post office for the convenience of the applicants. The meeting approved the transfer policy of the special education department and sale of 15,000 metric tons of wheat to Gilgit-Baltistan.

Muhammad Basharat Raja expressed satisfaction over the fact that the sale of wheat would not affect the food reserves for Punjab. Cabinet Committee reviewed and approved the Punjab Aquaculture Development Corporation Act 2021.

Approval has also been given to the Department of Education to assist in the door-to-door survey of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). Constitution of the departmental promotion committee (DPC) for promotion to grade 19 in the Punjab Institute of Language Arts and Culture (PILAC) was sanctioned during the meeting.

CM Punjab inaugurates Lays the Foundation Stone of a Number of Projects in Taunsa 

Lahore, February 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 21 projects worth billions of rupees at Shah Sulaiman Stadium in Taunsa Sharif. CM Usman Buzdar inaugurated seven projects worth Rs1.84 billion for Taunsa. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar inaugurated the Parks and Horticulture Authority Taunsa project.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar inaugurated the uplifting project of Government Girls High School Taunsa. The uplifting project of Government Girls High School Taunsa has cost Rs.90 million. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar inaugurated Government Boys Higher Secondary School Taunsa Uplifting Project.

Government Boys Higher Secondary School Taunsa Uplifting Project cost Rs.47.2 million. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar inaugurated the project of upgrading Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Taunsa. Upgradation of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Taunsa cost Rs.842.5 million. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar inaugurated City Traffic Police Driving School in Taunsa.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar inaugurated the project of beautification of Taunsa city. The beautification project of Taunsa city cost Rs.653.5 million. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar inaugurated the project for the construction and repair of a 14 km long road from Mangrotha to Basti Buzdar.

The construction and repair of 14 and a half km long road from Mangrotha to Basti Bazdar cost Rs.2 crore. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar also laid the foundation stone of 14 public projects worth billions of rupees for Taunsa Sharif.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar laid the foundation stone of the University of Taunsa project. The establishment of the University of Taunsa will cost Rs 2.75 billion. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar laid the foundation stone of the park project in Taunsa. The park and public place project will cost Rs.5 crore.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar laid the foundation stone of Satellite / Filter Clinic at Chah Zanbowala. The project will cost Rs.1.5 crore. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar laid the foundation stone of the e-library project in Taunsa. The establishment of the Taunsa Sharif e-library will cost Rs.36.2 million.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar laid the foundation stone of the 12 Union Councils’ Schools Upgradation Plan. Rs.100 million will be spent on the project of upgrading 12 schools. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar laid the foundation stone of a plan to protect government property including Taunsa City from floodwaters.

The project of construction of a safety dam for Taunsa city will cost Rs.871.8 million. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar also laid the foundation stone for a clean water supply scheme in 13 union councils. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar laid the foundation stone of the project for the construction and expansion of Mangrotha West to Basti Bangar Road.

The construction and expansion project of Mangrotha West to Basti Bangar Road will cost Rs.48 million. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar laid the foundation stone of the project for the construction of the Pile Foundation Bridge at Jarh Leghari on the Indus River.

The bridge over the Indus River at Jar Leghari will cost Rs.65 million. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar laid the foundation stone of a 13 km road from Haider wala to Daira Shah. Rs.16 crores will be spent on a 13 km road from Haider wala to Daira Shah.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar also laid the foundation stone of the project for the construction and repair of paved roads in 8 union councils. Rs 26 crore will be spent on the construction and repair of paved roads in 8 union councils. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar laid the foundation stone of the bridge and 4 km road project at Sanghar Nullah. The bridge and 4 km road project will cost Rs.676.8 million. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar also laid the foundation stone of a 20 km road from Taunsa to Gulki.

The project of a 20 km road from Taunsa to Gulki will cost Rs.89 crore. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar also laid the foundation stone of the pile foundation bridge project at Sanghar Nullah Basti Mandrani. The pile foundation bridge project will cost Rs.6 crore. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar handed over the keys of the Rescue 1122 ambulance for Taunsa city to the Divisional Emergency Officer.
