Robak as chairperson of the board of directors in addition to his role as CEO. Robak succeeds Andy Richardson, who has been chair since 2009 and who will now serve as chairman emeritus. IGP eulogize services of retired cops

Islamabad, February 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Muhammad Ahsan Younus Monday eulogized services of retired policemen which performed their due role in maintaining law and order in the federal capital. A ceremony was organized here in honour of 183 retired personnel, attended by senior police officers, and a large number of Jawans.

Speaking at the occasion, the IGP said the entire department was proud of their retired officers which had served the department more than 40 years. The contribution of policemen for rule of law and saving lives and properties of citizens would always be remembered, he added.

The capital police chief distributed honorary shields and certificates of appreciation among the police officers. He said every personnel should learn from experience of retired personnel and serve the department in best way. He said If any retired officer wants to take part in policing activities, he will be welcomed.

IGP Islamabad directed SSP Headquarters to form a WhatsApp group of all retired police officers to resolve their issues on priority. He directed for the formulation of a committee to address the issues of police pensioners. He extended well wishes to the outgoing officers and wish them best of luck in future endeavours.

Opposition stunt of no confidence after resignation and long March is a mere storm in a tea cup: Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar 

Lahore, February 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that opposition have now floated the stunt of no confidence motion after resignations and long march. He maintained that such elements can neither bring vote of no confidence nor tender resignations.

Opposition parties have no courage to hold long march, he added. CM emphasised that no confidence stunt merely equates to a storm in a tea cup. Usman Buzdar categorically remarked that the PTI government enjoys clear majority and lead in the matter of number game. He emphasised that even if all the opposition parties unite, no confidence motion would not succeed and their fruitless endeavours to bring vote of no confidence would go flat in coming days.

Usman Buzdar underscored that even if opposition wishes to bring no confidence motion, they can wilfully do so. CM stressed that the opposition will have to lick the dust as before. How come the opposition alliance on which their own political parties have expressed no confidence can gossip to bring no confidence against the government and it deems inappropriate, concluded CM Usman Buzdar.

Chief Minister Punjab directs to fulfil all demands of justice and no one will be allowed to take law into one’s hands

Lahore, February 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):Lahore, Feb 13: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has been submitted initial inquiry report of heart-rending incident occurred in Tulamba district Khanewal. IG Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan submitted initial report to CM Usman Buzdar, CM directed to fulfil all the requirements of justice and remarked that no one will be allowed to take the law into one’s own hand. Usman Buzdar was apprised in the initial report that 33 suspected persons have been nominated in the incident and case has been registered against 300 unidentified suspects.

Sections of heinous crime and terrorism have been incorporated in the case. Police conducted more than 120 raids at various places and took into custody 62 suspected persons. Prime accused are also included in the list of under arrest suspected persons. CM was further informed that with the help of forensic analysis based on available footages, accused will be identified and their role will be ascertained. Police teams are conducting raids to carry out further arrests of suspected. On the direction of CM and IG Police secret operation of police continued whole night and senior police officers also remained in the field.

Usman Buzdar pays rich tributes to martyrs of chairing cross on their anniversary 

Lahore, February 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar in his message on the 5th anniversary of the martyrdom of Chairing Cross bomb explosion said that martyrs of police are our symbol of pride and today is the day to pay rich tributes to the great sacrifices laid down by the brave sons of soil.

CM paid glowing tributes to the immemorial sacrifices laid down by the martyred DIG Traffic Lahore Capt. Retd. Syed Ahmed Mobeen, martyred SSP Operation Zahid Gondal and other police officials. Chief Minister Punjab’s message on the International Day of Radio 

Lahore, February 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar in his message on the international day of radio said that radio is an excellent and effective source of communication. He maintained that the importance of radio cannot be denied despite the presence of electronic and social media.

Authentic information is imparted to the masses and innovations have also come into play in radio with the passage of time, he added. He appreciated that may it be a time of war or peace, Radio Pakistan has duly fulfilled its responsibilities in every period of time. He underlined that Radio Pakistan imparted every moment of live commentary to the audience of hockey and cricket matches.
