IGP visits house of martyred Sub-Inspector Liaqat Ali, assures full support to the family 

Islamabad, February 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas on Sunday visited the house of martyred Sub-Inspector Liaqat Ali in Bhara Kahu and assured full support to family members in this tragic moment. Senior police officers also accompanied him. SI Liaqat Ali embraced martyrdom during firing in Bhara Kahu on Saturday morning. IGP Muhammad Ahsan Younas met with the martyred family and prayed Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace. He said that martyred SI sacrificed his life for country and would be remembered for ever for his bravery.

The martyred is survived by a son and three daughters. He said martyred personal are our heroes who have written golden chapter in history with their blood and secured others’ lives. Mr. Muhammad Ahsan Younas assured said that morale of each personnel of the force is high and they are ready to render any sacrifice for the country.

A total of 56 Islamabad police officials have sacrificed their lives so far for safety and security of the nation. The IGP said that their sacrifices will not go waste, adding that all those criminals involved in this incident will be arrested soon. The IGP has tasked the police to arrest the culprits. He also said that morale of the police was high and all Islamabad police officials were committed to fight till last drop of their blood for safety of life and property of the citizens.

Significant development in Khanewal tragedy, police identified 15 main culprits and arrested them

Lahore, February 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Ahmad Khan Buzdar and Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan, police teams are conducting operations to arrest the main culprits involved in Khanewal tragedy.

Punjab Police spokesperson said that significant progress has been made in the tragic incident in Khanewal and police teams have identified and arrested 15 main culprits. He added that the main accused arrested include Mohammad Yaqub, Kashif, Mohammad Riaz, Saqlain Mohammad Shan, Asif, Nadeem, Qaiser Nazir, Abdul Ghani, Mohammad Aslam, Mohammad Amir, Ejaz, Mehboob-ur-Rehman, Mohammad Bilal and Ali Sher.

Spokesman for the Punjab Police said that the arrested suspects could be seen torturing Aslam with bricks and sticks and provisions of terrorism and serious crimes have been imposed against the arrested suspects. The process of arresting and identifying the accused is underway. Police have so far arrested a total of 85 suspects, with the main suspects being identified.

According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Ahmad Khan Buzdar and IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan are personally supervising the entire operation and police teams are conducting raids to nab more accused. The Punjab Police spokesperson further said that all the miscreants who took the law into their own hands would be brought to book as soon as possible and the legal proceedings would be completed as soon as possible.

IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan took notice on killing of two brothers in a land dispute at Gujranwala 

Lahore, February 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has taken notice on killing of two brothers in a land dispute at Gujranwala and sought a report from RPO Gujranwala. IG Punjab directed that all the accused be arrested as soon as possible and strict legal action be taken against them.

CPO Gujranwala Capt. (retd) Syed Hamad Abid said that the police have taken immediate action and arrested one accused Ali Mughal while police teams are conducting raids to nab the other accused. CPO Gujranwala further said that the accused will definitely be punished.

The fifth martyrdom of martyrs of Charing Cross tragedy, mall road, Lahore will be marked on Sunday, February 13 

Lahore, February 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):Punjab Police will observe the 5th Martyrdom Day of martyrs of Charing Cross, Mall Road on Sunday, February 13 with traditional fervour. In this regard, the grave of DIG Capt. (retd) Syed Ahmed Mubeen Shaheed will be visited at Cavalry Ground Cemetery Lahore by CTO Lahore Police and Traffic Police troops whereas the last resting place of SSP Zahid Nawaz Gondal Shaheed will be visited by DPO Mandi Bahauddin. Fateha will be offered for the elevation of ranks of the martyrs. A rich tribute will also be paid to eternal sacrifices of martyrs.

According to details, seven Punjab Police personnel including DIG Capt. (retd) Syed Ahmad Mubeen Shaheed and SSP Zahid Nawaz Gondal were martyred on the evening of February 13, 2017 at Faisal Chowk, Charing Cross, and Mall Road Lahore.

The two officers were negotiating with the protesters to end protest on Mall Road and restore traffic for convenience of citizens when the suicide bomber blew himself up. DIG Capt. (retd) Syed Ahmed Mubeen, SSP Zahid Nawaz Gondal, wireless operator ASI Muhammad Amin and Four Personnel of Elite Force Head Constable Asmat Ullah, constable Muhammad Aslam, Constable Irfan Mahmood and Constable Nadeem Tanveer were martyred in the incident.

In his message, IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan paid homage to the martyrs of Mall Road and said that Punjab Police will never forget the everlasting sacrifices of its zealous martyrs and Punjab Police will be continuing the great mission of martyrs by ensuring protection of lives and properties of people.

IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan orders crackdown on kite-flyers across the province 

Lahore, February 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):Punjab Inspector General of Police Rao Sardar Ali Khan has issued orders to crack down on kite-flyers across the province. IG Punjab directed that special operations be carried out in Lahore, Gujranwala and Faisalabad on the complaints of kite flying to bring the law breakers under control and take steps under effective strategy to arrest the kite flyers at night.

Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that special teams should be formed for operations against kite flying across the province and announcements should be made in mosques. He said that immediate action should be taken against those involved in dangerous sport like kite flying in the name of entertainment and detailed reports of police operations should be sent to Central Police Office regularly.

Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that operations against those who sell and buy kites and metallic ropes online should be intensified while Special Branch teams were also engaged in operations against kite-flyers in all the districts of the province. Punjab Police spokesperson said that during the last 24 hours, 53 cases were registered against kite-flyers involved in breaking the law in Rawalpindi and 59 persons were arrested. 7699 kites and 71 kites roll were also recovered from the possession of the accused.

He further said that 224 cases have been registered against metallic strings and kite-flyers in Lahore since January this year while 227 persons have been arrested and hundreds of kites and metallic strings have also been recovered. Spokesperson further said that, parents are requested to keep their children away from dangerous sports and report to 15 against outlaws.

IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan pays tribute to martyrs of Charing Cross mall road on fifth martyrdom day 

Lahore, February 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has said that the officers and personnel who were martyred in the Charing Cross Mall Road blast are real gems of police department. He said that the martyrs were martyred on duty for the convenience of citizens and protection of their lives and property.

They set an eternal example of dutifulness. Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that Punjab Police would never forget the everlasting sacrifices of its martyrs and would always be committed to protect the lives and property of people by continuing great mission of the martyrs. He further said that being Chief of Punjab Police, best welfare of families of martyrs is one of my top priorities and we will continue to take preferential steps in this regard. He expressed these views while paying homage to martyrs on the completion of five years of the Charing Cross tragedy.

DIG Capt. (retd) Syed Ahmed Mubeen Shaheed, SSP Zahid Mehmood Gondal and five others were martyred in a suicide blast at Charing Cross, Mall Road Lahore on the evening of 13 February 2017. The martyrs include wireless operator ASI Muhammad Amin and four young head constables of Elite Force Ismat ullah and Constables Muhammad Aslam, Irfan Mahmood and Nadeem Tanveer.

On the fifth anniversary of the martyrs, District Police Officer Mandi Bahauddin Anwar Saeed Kangra saluted at the grave of SSP Zahid Mehmood Shaheed in his native village Sunda in Miana Gondal police station area on the fifth anniversary of martyrs and laid floral wreaths and prayed for elevation of ranks.

DPO Mandi Bahauddin said that the death of the martyr is the life of the nation. SSP Zahid Gondal Shaheed sacrificed his life in a terror attack for sake of safety of his nation and made police department proudly. On the occasion of fifth anniversary of the Mall Road tragedy, Lahore Police continued to pay homage to the martyrs. Lahore Police Chief, Additional IG Fayyaz Ahmed Dev visited the grave of martyred DIG Capt. (retd) Syed Ahmed Mubeen at Cavalry Ground Cemetery. CCPO Lahore was accompanied by CTO Lahore Muntazer Mehdi, SPs, senior traffic officers and personnel.

The mother of martyred DIG Capt. (retd) Syed Ahmed Mubeen along with other relatives also visited the grave of her beloved martyred son. CCPO Lahore laid a floral wreath his grave and offered Fateha for elevation of the ranks of martyr.

When the mother of martyred Captain (retd) Ahmed Mubeen offered special prayers for her son, every eye was filled with grief. CCPO Lahore while talking to media personnel said that a martyr never dies, he is present right now, every martyr of Lahore Police is shining in our hearts like bright stars.
