Pakistan remains incomplete without Kashmir: Rashid

Islamabad, February 05, 2022 (PPI-OT): Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said that Pakistan remains incomplete without Kashmir. Addressing a ceremony in Rawalpindi on Saturday in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day, he said every child of Pakistan supports Kashmiris in achieving their inalienable Right to Self-determination.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmad said Pakistan’s armed forces, backed by the entire nation, are strong enough to inflict defeat on the enemies also for the country. He said our nuclear program is for the defense of the country. The Interior Minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan is working to steer the country out of prevailing challenges, including inflation.

Kashmir Solidarity Day observed to express whole-hearted support of Pakistani nation to just struggle of Kashmiris

Islamabad, February 05, 2022 (PPI-OT): Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed today [Saturday] to express whole-hearted support of Pakistani nation to just struggle of Kashmiris for their inalienable right to self-determination. One minute silence was observed at 10:00 am this morning across the country. To mark the day, solidarity walks were organized in Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit and in four provincial headquarters. Human chains were formed at important points linking Pakistan with Azad Kashmir.

Similarly, rallies, public meetings, functions and seminars were held in different parts of the country to draw attention of the world towards the plight of Kashmiris. Meanwhile, Radio Pakistan is broadcasting special programmes to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir.

Embassy of Pakistan in Vienna organised an event today to observe the Kashmir Solidarity Day. Representatives of the Pakistani and Kashmiri expatriate community as well as Austrian nationals of Pakistani origin and local journalists attended the event. Messages of the President, Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and the Minister for Kashmir Affairs on the occasion of the Kashmir Solidarity Day were read out.

Pakistan High Commission Canada arranged a series of events in Canada comprising pictorial exhibitions, webinars and road shows to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day. During the day, office-bearers and members of Kashmir Committee Ottawa arranged a protest demonstration in the Canadian capital to highlight Indian brutalities in the occupied Kashmir valley.

Protestors carrying placards and posters in support of the Kashmiris also joined local Canadians in a vigil held at the Human Rights Monument in Ottawa to protest injustice and indiscrimination against different communities across the globe. Meanwhile, Consulate General of Pakistan Toronto arranged a pictorial exhibition as well as a well-attended webinar to highlight Indian oppression in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

An event was held at Pakistan Embassy in Paris today to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day. A large number of people attended the event, including those from local Pakistani and Kashmiri community. Messages of President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read out to the audience.

A documentary highlighting Indian atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir was also screened on the occasion. A photographic exhibition showing the plight of Kashmiris, who are under Indian military siege in IIOJK, was put on display at the embassy.

PM Imran wishes speedy recovery of Turkish President from Covid

Islamabad, February 05, 2022 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Imran Khan said he just learnt that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Madame Emine Erdogan tested positive for Covid-19 Omicron. In a tweet today [Saturday], he said on behalf of our government, the people of Pakistan and on his own behalf he wishes them a swift and complete recovery.

President inaugurates Jammu and Kashmir monument in Muzaffarabad

Islamabad, February 05, 2022 (PPI-OT): President Arif Alvi inaugurated Jammu and Kashmir monument, constructed in memory of Kashmiri martyrs and their struggle, in Muzaffarabad on Saturday. The President and the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, President Arif Alvi said this monument will help our future generations remember the sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiri people. He said we will always remember the struggle and the sacrifices of Kashmiri people. He said Pakistan’s history is incomplete until the liberation of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The President regretted that the promises made with the Kashmiris regarding their right to self-determination were not fulfilled by the international community. He however said no power can stop the Kashmiris from getting freedom from the cruel Indian clutches. He said Modi government is setting India on fire by pursuing hate based Hindutva policy. Addressing All Pakistan Kashmir Solidarity Mushaira in Islamabad this evening, President Dr Arif Alvi said Pakistan will continue its efforts for promoting peace and stability in the region.

He said that India cannot snatch by-birth freedom of innocent Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir by suppressing their voice. Dr. Arif Alvi regretted that Modi government has turned the occupied valley into one of the biggest prisons of the world to accomplish its nefarious agenda.

US conveys approval over Masood Khan as Pakistan’s Ambassador

Islamabad, February 05, 2022 (PPI-OT): The US government has conveyed its agreement to the appointment of Sardar Masood Khan as an Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States. This was stated by Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad while responding to media queries regarding the appointment of Sardar Masood Khan as Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States. He said Ambassador Masood Khan is a seasoned diplomat, who served Pakistan with distinction and honour. Sardar Masood Khan will assume his new responsibilities in Washington D.C. in due course of time.

Pakistan, Uzbekistan urge global efforts for humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan

Islamabad, February 05, 2022 (PPI-OT): Pakistan and Uzbekistan have underlined the need of global efforts to provide economic and humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan to avoid economic crisis in the war-torn country. The resolve came during a meeting between Prime Minister Imran Khan and President of Uzbekistan Shawkat Mirziyoyev on the sidelines of Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony in Beijing today.

The two leaders agreed that a peaceful, stable and prosperous Afghanistan is vital for regional stability as well as for realization of infrastructure and connectivity projects. They exchanged views on entire gamut of bilateral relations based on shared bonds of faith, history and culture and marked by cordiality and close cooperation.

The two leaders also discussed cooperation in education and culture, and recognized progress on joint research and media ventures, including joint film on Baburi heritage and dubbing of Pakistani dramas in Uzbek language.

The Prime Minister underscored importance of enhanced trade and economic cooperation, particularly through operationalizing the landmark bilateral Transit Trade Agreement and finalizing the Preferential Trade Agreement. He also reiterated Pakistan’s full support to the Trans-Afghan railway project and agreed to take it forward over the coming months.

The Prime Minister also underlined the need to enhance tourism, take all steps for resuming direct flights, strengthen banking links, and facilitate visas procedures. Earlier, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain, in a tweet, said that Prime Minister Imran Khan also held meeting with his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang in Beijing and discussed matters pertaining to Kashmir and Afghanistan.

Nobody will be able to get NRO in PM Imran Khan’s presence: Farrukh

Talking to newsmen in Lahore today [Saturday], he said the government will hold accountability of all corrupt elements without any discrimination. Talking about today’ meeting between PPP and PML-N leadership, he said the corrupt leaders used accounts of their employees to whitewash their looted money worth billions of rupees.

20 terrorists killed during Panjgur and Naushki operations: ISPR

Islamabad, February 05, 2022 (PPI-OT): Pak Army says a total of 20 terrorists were killed during Panjgur and Naushki operations and Security forces have completed the clearance operation today. According to ISPR, terrorists attacked security forces’ camps at Naushki and Panjgur late evening on 2nd Feb, and both attacks were repulsed successfully by prompt response from troops at both locations.

In Naushki, 9 Terrorists were killed while four security personnel including an officer embraced shahadat during shoot out with terrorists while repulsing terrorist attack at Naushki. In Panjgur, security forces repulsed the terrorist attack after intense exchange of fire and Terrorists fled from area. Security Forces carried out clearance operation to hunt down hiding terrorists in the vicinity.

Four fleeing Terrorists were killed at Panjgur while 4 terrorists were encircled the next day by security forces. All encircled terrorists were killed in today’s operation as they failed to surrender. 5 soldiers, including a JCO embraced shahadat and 6 soldiers have been injured during follow up operations at Panjgur lasting 72 hours.

Three terrorists linked to these attacks were also killed yesterday including 2 high value targets at Balgatar, Kech in a follow up clearance operation conducted on a makeshift Terrorist hideout. Our security forces stand firm and resolutely committed to eliminating the menace of terrorism from our soil no matter what the cost.
